Telling the time is a great skill to have, and it's one that comes in handy all throughout the day. It's no surprise then, that a kid's first watch often marks a turning point in their life. Here are some tips for buying that all-important first watch for your youngster.
Analogue or digital?
While digital watches are easier to read, and are often more familiar to kids, analogue watches are great for giving your kids the opportunity to learn how to read a more traditional clock face.
Size and shape?
Kids are pretty rough and tumble, so try to opt for a watch that isn't going to catch on things or bang against them. While some character watches look great, they tend to be quite large, and end up breaking quite easily. In addition, you'll want to opt for a watch with a band that's easy for a youngster to put on and remove.

The budget
Let's face it: the life of most children toys isn't that long and a watch isn’t likely to be any different! Choose an affordable watch, and bear in mind that the band and batteries may need replacing on a regular basis.
